Newest Line of Defiance Skis Are In!

The full lineup of our first set of skis are in! For our inaugural year, we stuck to constructing three skis that we knew we could manufacture well, and at a great price. The overall goal of our brand is to get as many people skiing as possible by selling affordable equipment that any skier can enjoy.

Our first line of skis consists of the Pure Turn, the Fraction, and the Blade. Between these three products, you're sure to find a ski to suit your needs.

If you're a skier who's been on the slopes a few times already, and looking to get into powder skiing, then the Pure Turn is the choice for you. This ski is friendly and forgiving, allowing you to easily maneuver it, without having to worry about being taken for a ride. Beyond it's soft flex, the Pure Turn also has a ton of sidecut which encourages turning and allows skiers to get a feel for what it's like to carve a turn. Finally, and most impressively, the Pure Turn features early rise in the tip, allowing for more graceful turns, as well as increased float in the powder.

If you're more of an intermediate to advanced skier, then you'll find the Fraction to be a suitable choice. Compared to the Pure Turn, the Fraction is a stiffer ski, meaning that it will hold it's own at higher speeds, and you won't get as much chatter (or shaking) when you're flying down the hard pack. And don't worry, just like the Pure Turn, the Fraction features early rise technology which increases the fluidity of your turns, and provides more float in softer snow.

And finally, for all of you snow bladers out there, we've got you covered too! In our first line, we've included a fat ski blade we call simply, "Blade." This little guy is pretty unique in the snow blading world, as it has a waist that measures 100 mm. This puts it right up there with some of your traditional all mountain powder skis. Additionally, unlike most snow blades, the Blade is currently only being sold with a releasable binding. It's our belief that fixed ski blade bindings are incredibly dangerous, so we refused to put anything besides a releasable binding on the Blade.

So there you have it! The full lineup of our 2011-2012 skis! We're stoked to have them in stock, and if you're interested in finding a great pair of skis at an even better price, head over to our distributors, Level Nine Sports!
